Joanie Parsons

Co-creator

Joanie founded PARSONS + CO strategic communications in 1992.  She's all about high energy and high standards, big ideas and big events, team work and dream work.  In 2002, Joanie established a company-giving program, GoodWorks, which supports a variety of causes both locally and globally through volunteer service, cash and pro bono donations. She is a board member of the One Eighty Foundation, an organization that works to improve the lives of children and families, and also with Good Business Network and PCC Farmland Trust.

Joanie is outdoors any chance she gets, hiking with her two golden retrievers or cross skiing. She also loves to explore the world and bring back everything from new dance moves to new delicious recipes.

 
 
 

Monica Smith

Co-creator

Monica is a community activist, and is currently the Chair of the Downtown Residents Council. She has more than 25 years of experience in international real estate, project management and LEED certification. Monica's past board activity includes the Regional Board of YPO-WPO, the American Institute of Architects in Seattle, Urban Land Institute's Executive Committee and Red Feather Development Group. She was an advisory member of University of Washington's certificate program in commercial real estate and guest lecturer. She's been LEED accredited since 2005 and was a faculty member for the United States Green Building Council's LEED program. 

Having been a downtown Seattle resident for 20 years, Monica spends as much time as possible in the wilderness. She's a certified yoga instructor and also loves traveling and cooking.

Barbie Seifert

Co-creator

Barbie is the Executive Director of the One Eighty Foundation, serving as the strategic and inspirational leader to the Board of Directors, company employees, sponsors and funding agencies to achieve strategic and mission goals. With a deep understanding of operational and business development programs, she is committed to creating opportunities for better lives. 

Outside of work, Barbie serves as an advisor for Metiza Magazine and is on the advisory committee of the Philanthropist Forum and the Corporate Giving Network and is an active member of the Seattle #4 Rotary. She is commited to the education, passion and wellbeing of her three children - Max, Alex and Jaclyn and to traveling and spending quality time with her husband Mike.
